Membership
The
Theatre Alliance of Michigan (TAM) is a nonprofit organization dedicated
to promoting nonprofit theatre activity at all levels in the state of
Michigan. It exists as an "organization of organizations" facilitating
the work of its member groups, and individuals, by providing resource
information, project funding, and statewide communication networks.
TAM is recognized as a 501C-3 organization under the
U.S. tax code; its Board members serve on a voluntary basis meeting four
times annually at different locations around the state. Board members
are appointed in part by member organizations such as the Community Theatre
Association of Michigan, the Michigan Interscholastic Forensics Association
and other groups; and at-large members are appointed from time to time
to serve the needs of other special theatre populations such as the elderly,
children, or cultural diversity groups.
It has been promoting Michigan theatre for more than
thirty years.

- Support for our annual Cornerstone Scholarships that
aid secondary school drama teachers and directors in receiving advanced
there training at Michigan institutions
- Support for building and maintaining our news network,
the TAM newsletter and TAM website, that serve and publicize Michigan
theatre locally, nationally and internationally
- And so much more!
